County taxpayers are well-served by Harelson
In 1997, when John Harelson was first elected Josephine
County treasurer, he brought many innovative and
effective ideas to the Treasurer/Tax Office. He is a
hard-working and dedicated elected official. I found it
very rewarding to work with him in that office through
2001.
Since he has taken office, his positive approach assisting
taxpayers has significantly reduced the number of
properties included in the foreclosure process. Many
times during my years with the tax office, annually we
published over 100 properties. This last year, the tax
office published only 18. One property was deeded to
the county in 2008.
Ten or 15 years prior, the number might have been 10.
John's resolve has always been to help the taxpayer
avoid foreclosure.
The taxpayers of Josephine County are well served by
Harelson.
He is the most qualified candidate. Please join me in
supporting his re-election.
