County has gained with Harelson as treasurer
The present economic turmoil leaves many citizens
feeling confused and in despair not knowing what the
future holds for homes and savings.
Much has been said about the reduction of services and
lack of funding for Josephine County.
Not much has been said about the use and investments
for the good of the county.
Since 1997, our present treasurer, John Harelson, has
earned over $16,412,000 through investments of county
funds for the benefit of the county, without any losses.
One might think he understood the financial market.
In addition to earning money to fund the county above
the amount paid in taxes, he also represents the
financial interests of the residents when meeting with
boards and committees.
The responsibilities are great. To truly understand the
importance of this position and the need for a highly
qualified candidate with impeccable integrity, I
recommend Harelson’s Web site, www.harelson.us.
